Statue of La Marquise de La Valette

This statue was created by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux -and I usually don't go in for face art but his statues were something else. There were many lovely examples of his work, but I include this one because it also amused me- the lady herself felt that she was not portrayed, and I quote, "sufficiently youthful".
